Jahe ata Halia Dalam Perspektif Islam

Jahe / Halia telah disebutkan oleh Allah dalam firmannya QS Al-Insan ayat 17 yang artinya:

Di dalam syurga itu mereka diberi minum segelas (minuman) yang campurannya adalah jahe.

Jahe merupakan tumbuhan yang memiliki berbagai manfaat. Dengan memanfaatkan akarnya, kita dapat menggunakan jahe sebagai obat seperti untuk menghangatkan badan untuk menghilangkan masuk angin dan lain sebagainya. Selain digunakan sebagai obat, jahe biasanya juga dipakai untuk rempah-rempah, pewangi makanan dan lain sebagainya.

Abu Nu’aim di dalam kitab ath-Thibb an-Nawawi menyebutkan riwayat dari hadits Abu Sa’id al-Khudriyy, ia berkata, “Raja (kaisar) Romawi memberi hadiah kepada Nabi saw. Berupa satu bejana berisi jahe, lalu beliau memberi makan masing-masing orang satu potong, beliau juga memberiku sepotong”.

Jahe (Indonesia) = Halia
